Techmer PM Certifications
As a manufacturer of compounds, having accredited mechanical testing laboratories is an essential requirement for supporting this market. The laboratories at the Clinton, TN site of Techmer PM was awarded accreditation to the quality assurance requirements of the ISO 17025 standard, as determined by the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), in 2005.
Techmer PM, LLC’s Quality Management System is certified to ISO 9001:2015. We achieved the original certification of our Quality Management System to ISO 9001 standard in June 1996. The original certification covered the Quality Management Systems of two manufacturing sites. Since that time, our number of sites has grown to six, all of which are united under one ISO 9001 Quality Management System certificate with the American Systems Registrar, LLC (ASR) as our registrar. Ultimately, our certification offers and ensures our customers consistency between manufacturing sites. We felt it was critical every plant follow the same quality system with the same policies and procedures. Although one certificate meant that all plants had to pass before any certificate could be issued, we were dedicated to achieving the same level of quality no matter where the product was produced.
As a critical component of our strategy to support and grow in healthcare, our Batavia, IL site obtained the coveted ISO 13485:2016 QMS certification for the manufacture of custom polymer modifiers, including color masterbatches, additive concentrates, and engineering compounds used in medical devices.
Techmer PM’s mission is to positively impact our society and environment by championing sustainable practices, which can be seen in our actions. We are proud that our facility in Dalton, GA received the Zero Waste to Landfill Certificate issued by Intertek, a leading Total Quality Assurance provider to industries worldwide. This certification confirms that Techmer PM has successfully implemented and maintained a comprehensive waste management system – ensuring at least 99% of waste generated within the organization is efficiently diverted from landfills.
Techmer PM was awarded the silver medal on the EcoVadis Sustainability Assessment in 2023. The assessment covers a range of criteria, including environmental impact, labor, human rights, fair business practices, and sustainable procurement. This certification reinforces Techmer PM’s dedication to minimizing its environmental footprint, focusing on workforce safety and development, and promoting sustainable solutions throughout its value chain.
